Blues in Schools adopts special needs schools in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. There can be no denying that behaviour and health are hugely improved with the help of a good diet. Being great believers in this principal we specialise in teaching children with learning difficulties and behavioural problems, and our volunteers concentrate every class on healthy eating and encouraging the children to get in tune with their senses. Behind every child there is a parent or guardian, and we're running stimulating, inspiring, interesting - yet realistic - workshops concentrating on simple healthy and economical cooking for no charge whatsoever.
Our programme has been fine tuned over many successful and inspiring years, and we have compiled a 'Healthy Eating' information pack which is available to parents and children throughout the borough. We run regular classes at Gibbs Green School for children with emotional and behavioural problems, as well as Cambridge Special Needs School. Blues also runs classes at Puffins private nursery school.
We're always looking for passionate, understanding and committed volunteers who are able to offer a minimum of 6 days per term at one of our schools, so if you think you might be just the person we're looking for contact us on 020 7731 7533.
